Automatic thermoforming vacuum packaging machines utilize vacuum and automation technology. However, some products may not be completely vacuumed during packaging, leading to product deterioration. Below are some possible causes and impacts of incomplete vacuuming of products:

 

⑴. The Impact of Heat Sealing Temperature on Heat Seal Strength:

  1. Temperature has a significant impact on heat seal strength, with the thickness of the heat seal layer playing a crucial role.
  1. Low temperatures: The surface of the heat seal layer melts, resulting in a thinner seal layer and a lower contact temperature.
  1. High temperatures:

① The stretch film layer may melt or the heat seal layer may peel off, causing the upper and lower layers to become involved in the heat seal, which inevitably reduces seal strength.

② When heat sealing, ensure you select an appropriate heat seal temperature—neither too high nor too low.

 

⑵. Incomplete Vacuuming

  1. You may not be using vacuum bags, making them useless after evacuation.
  1. The vacuuming time wasn't long enough, and the air inside hasn't been completely evacuated. Perhaps the bag isn't properly sealed, causing leakage.
  1. The vacuum pump may be broken and unable to pump out enough air. This should be repaired. Alternatively, the seal may be broken or aged, preventing the air inside the vacuum chamber from being completely evacuated.
  2. Check the pressure gauge to see if it reaches the desired pressure during vacuuming. If it doesn't, it indicates a significant leak. Check all vacuum lines and seals.
