A thermoforming Packaging Machine is a horizontal forming-filling-sealing packaging production line. After the product is placed in the container, the machine automatically thermoforms the bottom of the container and automatically seals it. The thermoforming and sealing processes are completed in the forming station and sealing station, respectively. The bottom container is formed by heating a roll of flexible/rigid plastic sheet, allowing for a choice between flexible or rigid containers.

As the fresh food supply chain continues to expand, the quality risks faced by fruits and vegetables during post-harvest processing, cold chain transportation, and end-of-life display are constantly increasing. Consumers' requirements for fruits and vegetables have shifted from "edible" to "fresh, plump, clean, and aesthetically pleasing," and traditional packaging methods are increasingly failing to meet these demands in terms of protection, stability, and display effectiveness. Research shows that post-harvest losses of fruits and vegetables due to mechanical damage, oxidation, and water loss still account for 12%–20% globally (Food Packaging and Shelf Life, 2024), with packaging issues being one of the core contributing factors.
